Scott Heins is a freelance photographer based in New York City with a deep background in journalism, commercial, non-profit, and food work. Scott has shot on assignment for The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Intercept, Vice Magazine, The Guardian, Getty Images, and numerous others. He began his photography career as a staff photographer at Gothamist.

Frequent commercial clients include the Walt Disney Corporation, St Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, Anti-Social Producers Club, and numerous creative agencies sourcing photography for Adidas, Allegra pharmaceutical, Facebook/Meta, and more.

Non-profit clients include the American Refugee Committee, All Hearts and Hands, the Ban-Ki Moon Federation, Make The Road New York, and The Association for Neighborhood And Housing Development. He is experienced with a wide variety of shooting situations, from carefully lit studios to free-roaming reportage.
